I just received Eastern Telecom's Pricelist for internet service for personal and business internet connectivity in the Manila, Makati City Area, Philippines. I have to say this price list came at a bad time for Eastern, as we were just testing our new 1.5MBPS leased line and the results are disappointing at best.

Make sure you reach your SLA or do not sign off approval for your internet connection. To make a long story short, our DSL from PLDT and GLOBE has a higher throughput then our new 1.5MBPS leased line. What a bummer, we were looking forward to not having jittery stop start YouTube videos.

Eastern Telecom's Internet Direct Service (IDS) is a premium access service that provides a dedicated Internet bandwidth from a corporate location to the global Internet exchanges. This is because IDS is equipped with completely scalable bandwidth and fully managed, high speed Internet connectivity at speeds ranging from 64 Kbps to 45 Mbps.

Network Architecture
IDS has direct connections to the global Internet via a combined capacity of 600 Mbps to the US and the Asian region. Our network also boasts of a 350 Mbps connection to the Manila Internet Exchange (MIX), the largest local Internet exchange connecting the top ISPs and major corporations in the country. This assures your company with the necessary speed, flexibility and technology for its mission critical business applications that require high-speed Internet connectivity.
